Philanthropy and Grantmaking

We believe in the power of capital to create a better future and in using all the tools in the capital ‘toolbox’ to influence change. Addressing the greatest social and environmental challenges of our time requires a combined effort across investments and grant making.

As part of being ‘systems aware’ as a funder and as organisastion, we are constantly reflecting on how best to use our philanthropic capital as a tool for systems change and how to be an example of best practise philanthropic giving.

Our strategy sees us investing 90% of our philanthropic funding into organisations who are looking at root causes and systems level change. This may look like: lobbying, advocacy, campaigning, organising, messaging research and narrative shifts or movement building.

Our work in grantmaking and philanthropy also includes a set of experimental giving initiatives to help us fund ambitious progressive change. An experimental model of giving we’ve trialled in recent years is ‘deep dive’ grant rounds, which have been effective in funding underserved challenges.

Grant round now open: a fair and equal tax system

Tripple and the Reichstein Foundation are welcoming expressions of interest from organisations   and communities working to create a fairer and more equitable tax system in Australia.
